The drive from Labuan Bajo to Ende is quite challenging. Along the way, you may encounter roadblocks due to construction, landslides, or thick fog. Given Flores’ hilly terrain, the journey is further slowed by numerous sharp turns, often with little to no barriers on the roadside. Some sections of the road lack reflective lights and lane markings, making night driving especially hazardous, particularly in foggy conditions. However, the breathtaking scenery more than compensates for the difficulty. Roadside stalls offer fresh tropical fruits straight from local farms, adding a delightful break to the trip. Although the drive typically takes around 10 hours, it often stretches to 12–14 hours.
