The Alfred Nicholas Memorial Gardens, nestled in Sherbrooke within Victoria's Dandenong Ranges, offer a serene escape just an hour's drive from Melbourne. These gardens, originally part of the historic Burnham Beeches estate, were developed in the 1930s by Alfred Nicholas, co-creator of the Australian-made aspirin, Aspro. Designed by landscape gardener Percival Trevaskis, the gardens feature an ornamental lake, boathouse, rockeries, and cascading waterfalls.
